Darcy DesJardins
Name: Darcy “Larue” DesJardins
Age: 18 years old
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 135 lbs
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Personality: Hard-working, Modest, Obedient, Dependent
Likes: Astronomy, Gardening, Festivals
Dislikes: Horses, Woodworking, Raspberries
Facts:
- Darcy doesn’t remember much about his parents. Both of them died from the plague when he was very young. He was left in the care of a distant, poor Aunt and Uncle who were barely surviving in the harsh times. With three children of their own, adding another mouth to feed quickly became a burden.
- As soon as Darcy was able he was put to work doing chores around the house and in the stables. One bad experience with his uncle’s horse put him out in the fields to work where he “couldn’t hurt the horse”.
- Darcy’s extended family began calling him Larue as in insult to his orphaned background and it has stuck with him. He stopped trying to correct his cousins when they introduced him as Larue to their friends.
- After Darcy turned eighteen, his extended family fell on hard times and up to their eyeballs in debt. The man they owed had taken a perverse interest in Darcy and gave the family two option: give me the farm or Larue to pay back the debt you owe me. The family willingly gave up Darcy.
- Since his parents died when he was young Darcy never learned to read and his extended family didn’t value education over hard labor.
